Successful Completion of RFID Production Monitoring Project at Isuzu Hicom (Malaysia)

The PMS system monitors production flow, measuring times for completion at each station, including vehicle type and production rate. Another central requirement of the system is to ensure the correct chassis, engine and body are fitted to each other.

Automotive manufacturers are putting vehicles through some rigorous processes that often damage ordinary barcodes. An RFID solution have been shown to provide investment returns within 12 months. The ROI is derived out of better product quality, increase in production speeds and just-in-time inventory control.
