Frontwalker strengthens global position with digital platform for Sri Lanka's foreign missions
Frontwalker AB has implemented a centralized digital platform for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism of Sri Lanka, unifying the digital presence of Sri Lanka's diplomatic missions worldwide. "This reflects our vision of closing the gap between where organizations are today and where they need to be tomorrow, with our global operational model," says Jesper Jacquet, Group CEO of Frontwalker AB.
The platform includes the Ministry's revamped official website, a multi-tenant Content Management System and website infrastructure for Sri Lanka's overseas missions, built on a secure and unified architecture. It was launched in Colombo on 18 May 2026 as part of the Ministry's digital transformation journey, with a focus on security, reliability, accessibility and user-friendliness.
"Digital transformation in a public-sector context is ultimately about trust. The technology must be secure and scalable, but it must also make institutions more accessible, efficient and relevant to the people and stakeholders they serve," says Subodha Perrera CEO Frontwalker Sri Lanka.
In the first phase, seven Sri Lankan overseas missions have been onboarded to the unified platform, including Bucharest, Malé, New Delhi, Brasília, Wellington, The Hague and Cairo. The rollout is expected to continue across Sri Lanka's diplomatic network, with the objective of bringing all Sri Lanka Missions abroad under one unified and standardized digital platform.
At the launch, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Vijitha Herath emphasized that digital transformation is about improving how government institutions serve people with greater efficiency, accessibility, transparency and accountability. He also noted that the new platform would strengthen Sri Lanka's digital engagement with citizens, Sri Lankan communities overseas, foreign partners, investors, tourists and the international community.
For Frontwalker, the project strengthens the company's position as a software development partner with Swedish roots and global delivery capacity. The initiative was delivered through Frontwalker's global operating model, combining strategic leadership from Stockholm with engineering and delivery capabilities through its Sri Lanka Global Delivery Centre.
"Many organizations need to modernize faster while maintaining security, governance and operational control. This project shows how Frontwalker can help close that gap through scalable technology, strong delivery capability and a clear understanding of complex digital environments," concludes Jesper Jacquet.

About Frontwalker
The gap between where organizations are and where they need to be has always existed. Yesterday's systems holding them back. New demands moving faster than they can follow. We exist to close that gap - with the grit to keep walking when others stop, the accountability that means you can always count on us, and the pace to act today rather than wait until tomorrow. Local enough to understand. Global enough to matter. Frontwalker. We close the gap.
