Qbrick Launches Video Infrastructure for AI Agents
Qbrick AB (publ), a leading Swedish SaaS and AI company in video communication, today announces the launch of Qbrick Agent API - an infrastructure platform that enables AI agents to autonomously manage entire video workflows. The launch marks a strategic step as Qbrick expands its platform to meet the needs of the rapidly growing AI agent economy. Qbrick is currently conducting pilot projects with existing customers and is now seeking a limited number of additional pilot customers to accelerate the commercialization of the platform.
Krister Karjalainen, CEO of Qbrick AB, comments:
"We are facing a paradigm shift where AI agents are becoming an increasingly important part of how digital infrastructure is used. This is changing how software is developed and creating new opportunities for our customers. With Qbrick Agent API, we are building on our established SaaS platform and enabling integration for autonomous, AI-driven video processes. At the same time, we ensure compliance with the extensive requirements coming into force in August 2026 under the EU AI Act, where transparency, traceability, and human oversight will be critical."
Strategic Positioning in a New and Exponentially Growing Market
The market for autonomous AI agents is growing exponentially and is expected to reshape how digital content is created, distributed, and used. This opens up scalable solutions with the potential to be widely adopted across multiple markets and industries.
In this new architecture, AI agents - rather than humans - become the primary users of video infrastructure, creating a need for new standardized platforms. Qbrick addresses this shift by evolving its platform into a video infrastructure layer for AI agents, with the ambition of becoming the standard used by AI agents for video management.
Product Development and Technological Differentiation
By evolving the company's existing video infrastructure from a traditional API into an agent-adapted video layer, Qbrick establishes a direct integration interface with the rapidly growing AI agent ecosystem. This enables video not only to be accessed via UI or API calls, but also to be autonomously distributed, coordinated, and interacted with - without reliance on traditional user interfaces.
Qbrick Agent API builds on Qbrick's established video platform and complements existing offerings with integration for autonomous AI-driven processes.
The platform is designed for European data storage and addresses key requirements of the EU AI Act - including traceability, transparency, and human oversight - positioning Qbrick strongly within regulation-sensitive sectors.
