Autocirc acquires prominent French automotive recycling company to enhance its commitment to a circular autoparts industry.

Autocirc further expands its presence in Europe with the acquisition of Auto Pièces Caréco in Reims. Caréco Group is a leading French network specialized in vehicle dismantling, recycling and second-hand trading. The purchase of their end-of-life-vehicle center in Reims strengthens Autocirc's commitment in the French market and aligns with the company's long-term goal of offering a more sustainable alternative to newly produced vehicle parts in Europe.

Caréco Group is present in 30 locations in France and dismantles around 150,000 cars per year. Their contribution towards circularity includes 15 000 engines put back into circulation each year and a stock of over 1,5 million spare car parts. Auto Pièces in Reims has been operating since 1979 and is specialized in the recycling and dismantling of vehicles, trading of spare parts and second-hand cars as well as tire assembly. Stephan Schantz is the owner and CEO of Auto Pièces since 2018. He will retain his position as CEO in the company after the acquisition.

"At Auto Pièces we are very excited to be joining Autocirc. We have a solid history of professional recycling and dismantling of vehicles. This collaboration strengthens our commitment to sustainable practices and our combined resources within Autocirc will enable us to deliver even greater value to our customers and contribute to increased circularity in the car parts industry. At Auto Pièces and within the Caréco Group we have worked hard to build a solid reputation in the French market, and we are excited to bring our expertise and knowledge to a larger audience." Stephan Schantz concludes.

Johan Livered, CEO of Autocirc AB, says:
"Our goal is to create a circular auto parts industry that minimizes waste and maximizes the availability of quality-assured automotive parts for the secondary market. We aim to transform the entire aftermarket in Europe. Our acquisition of Auto Pièces in Reims further enhances our presence in Europe and we are very pleased with this. This creates further opportunities to realize our ambitious strategy for a sustainable future."

This new acquisition further facilitates the development of Autocirc in France.
"After the Caréco center in Saint-Etienne and Paris, the arrival of Caréco Reims will enable Autocirc to take care of automotive spare parts in the Champagne Ardenne region," rejoices Maxime Richaud, CEO of Autocirc in France.

Autocirc works for a circular transition in the automotive industry. We ensure that used car parts get back on the road again - or that materials and components can be used in completely different products and contexts. By moving from new production to reuse, remanufacturing, repurpose and recycling of car parts, we are making the second-hand market the first choice. A sustainable choice for a smarter automotive industry and a better alternative, also for the next generation.

Autocirc was founded in 2019 and is growing rapidly. Today, the group consists of 54 companies with close to 1000 employees and operates in Sweden, Norway, Finland, the UK, Poland, Germany and France.
